| Hey over there...I'm a kiter from the Great Lakes / Ontario, Canada. I'd like to get over to SA next December to kite. As far as I can tell, the SE windy seasons starts in Sep/Oct and runs through March, so December should be windy right? I was also wondering what the water temps are like that time of year at the Cape Town area kiting beaches.

Nov & Dec were very good last year ! Yes, you should have plenty of wind between Oct to March. You will need a full 4.3 winter wetsuit as the water is freezing (the currents come straight from the antartic!). Kitewise, take fairly small kites with plenty depower (the wind conditions are also VERY gusty). I am 75 kgs and i mostly ride my 9 sqm Cab Revolver HD (wave kite). Email me if you need more info, Matt
