Hey guys. What are you feelings about the Vaal? I'm based here in JHB. I've been kiting now for just over a year, but only down in Durban. At least once every two months my missus and I pile into the car for a kiting weekend at the coast. Been brilliant. Only one or two weekends with no wind. This last weekend (Sunday) I saw there was going to be wind at the Vaal. So off we went. The wind was averaging around 15knts but gusting up to 22knts and even dropping off to 8knts. I put a kite up. Felt hell of a uncomfortable and put the kite down. I didn't even try ride. Is this the norm or do we get slightly more consistent winds here inland? Cheers - Ryan
