The Inland Kitesurfing Association(IKA)
Everyone that lives in Gauteng knows how frustrating it can be to kitesurf sometimes inland.
Not because of the conditions, but the kitesurfing spots. It so happened that through certain circumstances kitesurfing was banned from a few good spots in Gauteng. This resulted in the foundation of the Inland Kitesurfing Association (IKA).
The president of this association explains that inland kitesurfing needs to be regulated and structured, to stop further banishment of this excellent sport at the local dams.
Their main focus is:
a To gain legal kitesurfing rights at the different dams.
a To protect all kitesurfers and to provide them with a service which they can rely on and trust for looking after their best interest.
a Making kitesurfing more easier and accessible for all IKA members
a Bring them the latest news and updates on kitesurfing as a inland sport as well as preffered prices on all the kiting trips.
a Notifying the members on different trips and “kite nights” which will be held.
a Bringing the Inland kiting community together.
a Receive a free rashvest when signing up
The IKA is their to look after kitesurfers every needs, bringing you service that matters
