| My brother is an ubber-experienced kitesurfer & has years behind him! On Saturday afternoon, he was kitesurfing in Blaauwberg & as you do, came off his board. Whilst in the water some arse came at him, hit him in the head with his board & THEN WENT OFF ON HIS WAY!!!! My brother was hit just above his left temple & his skull fractured. He's now in ICU with a v-shaped hole in his head, had surgery & now has the speech part of his brain currently damaged. So to the guy that did this - we aren't unforgiving people, bad things happen but dude, you kept on surfing. You might be brave to kitesurf but you are a coward as a human being for not turning back. I want you to know that you could have killed him, you could have hit him a few cms lower in the temple, you could have knocked him out & he would have drowned - but you kept going. Who knows what will happen now - he's a father of 2, got a wonderful wife & runs his own business. You might have ruined many people's lives & you can't even have taken responsibility for what you did. I understand you must have been scared but what the hell is happening to society? |
