The 3rd SAKT (South African
Kiteboard Tour) event takes place at Calypso on December 19th and 20th.
Spectacular kitesurfing days will attract approx 100 of our top
South African riders and crowds of spectators.
Entry fee: R150 which covers all disciplines and events, you will also
receive a comp shirt and goodie bag and free entrance to the after party
This event will count towards the
S.A ranking, so be sure not to miss it.
Program:
Friday: registration between 18:00 -
20:00.
Saturday: The main competition day! Registration is open in the morning from
6:00 to 7:30 am and first skippers meeting at 8:00 am. Disciplines are
wave riding, coarse racing and freestyle. All wind dependent. There will be an
after party Saturday night.
Sunday: Will be reserved to continue with heats not finalized on Saturday.
Prize giving ceremony at the end of the day.
This unique event promises to be an exciting festival with South Africa’s top
riders. All brands supporting the event will have the chance to present and
sell their new collections.
Location: Calypso (Beach Bar), Langebaan. Weather & sea conditions will be
perfect for all
disciplines. The beach and surrounding area has ample space for spectators and
perfect location for sponsors to do branding.
Media cooperation, PR & advertising activities will guarantee a well
promoted event for its sponsors, partners and visitors.

THE SOUTH AFRICAN KITEBOARD TOUR TOOK PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME AT CALYPSO BEACH-LANGEBAAN WEST COAST
If you happened to be in Langebaan over the weekend of the 19th – 20th December, you would have experienced the 3rd stop of the South African Kiteboard Tour.
This is the First year that the South African Kiteboard Tour (SAKT) has taken place and what a great event it was. The two-day spectacle included some exhilarating Kitesurfing demonstrations by SA’s top kitesurfer’s.
Riders such as Sjoukje Brendenkamp (the world record holder in speed sailing), Greg Thijsse and Alan Steel (who competed in the KPWT and PKRA World Tours) and the international KPWT world tour Rider, Ania Grezlinska from Poland.
We had good wind throughout the event, which was a real blessing and encouraged all the riders to push themselves. Saturday kicked off with the novice and ladies Freestyle and the wind then filled in nicely to allow for a spectacular freestyle event in the Men’s Pro division. We ended the day with 2 coarse races.
Sunday, the wind took its time to fill in and was not so strong. The SAKT used the event jet ski to give the riders the chance to enjoy some wakeboarding around this wonderful kiteboarding location in Langebaan, South Africa.
The competitors also took the opportunity to relax on the beach and in the splash pools, enjoying the free energy drinks from Battery Energy Drink.

it was in hot summer that i took a trip to qingdao, a port city in shandong province, one afternoon, i decided to go to the seaside to get relief from the heat. for the first time in my life, i swam in the sea.
at first, i was worried because though i was not a bad swimmer in the swimming pool, the sea was different. the waves coming one after another to the shore made a great noise and i thought they were going to swallow me up. i was terrified. cautiously nike air max 2012 cheap and slowly, i went close to the water. how cold it was! i was just about to give it up when i suddenly caught sight of a small boy who was about a head shorter than me. weak as he seemed, he went straight into the sea without hesitation. i felt a little ashamed.“what a timid girl i am!”i said to myself. www•
